8/11/2008 1:51:57 PM: No longer Creating NEW Instructor Accounts In support of a University plan to eliminate duplication of services, the library will no longer create NEW instructor accounts in the ERes database. Existing account holders will NOT be immediately impacted. We encourage NEW instructors to use Desire2Learn (D2L) for the delivery of electronic resources to students.
The primary reasons for this decision include: • UA students want a single location to access all course related materials. • D2L provides tools such as online chat, grade books and test taking.
PLEASE NOTE: The Library continues to digitize journal articles, book chapters, video, and audio for instructors to upload to a course web page. Login with your Cat Card number to submit a request at: http://azilliad.library.arizona.edu/illiad/logon.html
To learn more about D2L, please contact the Learning Technologies Center at D2l@email.arizona.edu or 626-2621.
8/27/2007 12:06:40 PM: Starting August 2007: Online Streaming Video available! Instructors no longer need to place VHS tapes and DVDs on Physical Reserves! Library staff will acquire and encode videos free of charge. You'll receive a link to the streamed video file within 3-5 business days! **Instructors will need to add the video link received into an ERes or D2L course listing.**

You'll receive a link to the corresponding PDF file within three business days. **Instructors will need to upload the files received into an ERes or D2L course listing.**
Request to have Videos, Book Chapters, and Journal Articles scanned at: http://azilliad.library.arizona.edu/illiad/logon.html
Request to have Complete Books placed on Reserves for your course at: http://aquarius.library.arizona.edu/services/reserves/instructors/request.html
All readings that are assigned to multiple students should be requested by instructors, not by each individual student. The instructor can then post the file directly to their course web page on ERes or D2L.
Readings that are not owned by the library can still be submitted through the online form. The request could be delayed while we are attempting to obtain this material from another library. Please consider using DocuFax if you already have the reading in your possession.
An unlimited number of journal or newspaper articles may be added to your course webpage. Only 10% of the total number of pages of a book, however, or one complete chapter, may be added to your course web page. This is regardless of the book's print status.
